INGREDIENTS:

Cranberry Extract

Some studies suggest that cranberry juice may decrease the number of UTIs a person develops over a 12-month period, particularly for women with recurrent UTIs. Animal studies show that cranberry products appear to work by inhibiting the growth and colonisation of bacteria that cause infection, including E. coli, the most common bacteria seen in urinary tract infections. Taking cranberry extract is much more effective than drinking cranberry juice, as pure cranberry juice is extremely tart, it’s often mixed with sweet juice, defeating the object.

D-Mannose

A 2014 study published in the World Journal of Urology tested whether D-mannose powder is effective for recurrent urinary tract infection prevention.

D-mannose can prevent certain bacteria from sticking to the walls of the urinary tract.

Ascorbic Acid

Vitamin C makes urine more acidic, inhibits the growth of E. coli and enhances immune function. A 2007 study evaluated the role that daily intake of vitamin C plays in urinary infection treatment during pregnancy. Researchers found that vitamin C treatment for a three-month period was able to reduce urinary infections, improving the health level of the pregnant women.

Garlic Extract

Allicin, one of the active principles garlic, has a variety of antimicrobial activities. In its pure form, allicin has been found to exhibit antibacterial activity against a wide range of bacteria, including multi-drug-resistant strains of E. coli. Garlic also has anti-fungal properties, particularly against candida albicans, which causes yeast infections. Yeast (candida) infection overgrowth is often a cause of urinary tract infections in woman.

Grapefruit Seeds Extract (GSE)

A noteworthy case study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine in 2005 found that grapefruit seeds were highly effective in killing antibiotic-resistant urinary tract infections. The study looked at several patients who were treated with grapefruit seeds (Citrus paradisi) orally for two weeks.

Within those two weeks, all patients responded satisfactorily to the treatment. However, this patient initially had the bacterial UTI resistant to three different antibiotics, but after taking grapefruit seed there was a reversal of the antibiotic resistance pattern.

Olive Leaf Extract

In the early 1900’s, a bitter compound from the leaf of olive trees was discovered, it was called oleuropein. It was determined to be one of the plant’s most powerful disease fighting compounds.

Olive Leaf has traditionally been used for: Natural antibiotic, Anti-fungal, Anti-viral, Immune booster, Relief from the common cold, and MANY more.

Olive Leaf is also effective against antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains, yeast strains and other fungi, that may be the cause of UTIs.

Clove

Research published in Phytotherapy Research indicates that clove has antimicrobial, anti-fungal and antiviral activity. Another clove benefit is that it possesses anti-inflammatory properties, and it’s used to relieve pain and promote healing.
